Inappropriate and Unprofessional Behavior? A Tempest in a Teapot? UN Observers Dancing on New Year’s Eve Celebration (S)
While opponents of the peace process have strongly criticized a video showing UN Observers dancing with FARC fighters in an area of concentration for guerrillas on the way to demobilization, not everyone considers it a problem. The Colombia Mission to the UN, however, has issued a statement on their Facebook page deploring what they call “inappropriate behavior” which in no way represents “the professional and imparcial values and imparcial of the Mission”
The video has been distributed widely by members of the Centro Demócratico who question if fraternizing with FARC violates the principle of neutrality required by the UN presence as part of a verificiation commission, according to La F.m.

Another point of view, with a bit of sarcasm, says” Incredible FARC dancing on New Year’s Eve instead of shooting people and placing bombs…
Increible! las Farc bailando en año nuevo en vez de estar dando bala y poniendo bombas para que la ONU registre @NoticiasRCN
