Some twenty retired generals are working on a letter to send the president asking him to excludefrom the Special Jurisdiction for Peace the concept of international criminal justice and the responsibility of commanding serious crimes.
In the army’s winter quarters retired military and police offers a plan seeking to prevent what they consider points of honor be excluded from the Legislative Act of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP). In a letter to President Juan Manuel Santos which would be signed by more than 20 generals, including ex-commanders of the Navy, Army and Air Force and ex-directors of the Police. They are the same retired officers who have driven a proposal, filed before the First Committee of the Senate, to clear, what they call, “doubts that jeopardize their legal security.” El Espectador
