Bi-monthly Analysis of the Systematic Situation of Aggression against Human Rights Defenders in Antioquia (S)
The NGO Corpades and theAgencia de Prensa Análisis Urbano shared the report titled “Bi-monthly Analysis of the Systematic Situation of Aggression Against Human Rights Defenders in Antioquia” which covers the months of January-February 2017.
The report was prepared by the Sumapaz Foundation in partnership with the Legal Juridical Corporation (CJL) for the Antioquia Node of the Colombia-Europe-United States Coordination (CCEEU) and the Antioquia Social Guarantees Process, showing the level of risk faced by defenders, social and communal leaders in the department of Antioquia.
“The methodology used in this report began with a comparative analysis of the observatory’s records, specifically comparing the first 65 days of 2010 to 2017. Likewise, the collection of these data has consisted of fieldwork in the subregions of Antioquia, interviews in the field with the communities, regional meetings of guarantees and human rights, monitoring of information in the different media, systematization, feeding of matrices for data and use of tools for further analysis.” Análisis Urbano
