Four Colombian Citizens to Receive Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for “Helping to Ensure Success of Peace Efforts”
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will deliver awards on Friday to four Colombians who contributed to the success of the peace talks with FARC. These include Colombia’s chief negotiator Humberto de la Calle. The awards ceremony, which will take place at Georgetown University, where Clinton will deliver remarks on “the role women can play in international politics and peacebuilding efforts.”

The awards are named after her, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and will be given to “four Colombians who helped ensure the successful outcome to the peace efforts in Colombia,” according to a statement from the university. In addition to Mr. De la Calle, Deputy Prosecutor Maria Paulina Riveros, one of the negotiators on the Government team, will receive a prize; Elena Ambrosi, Director of the Office of the High Commissioner for Peace; and journalist and activist Jineth Bedoya.
