FARC Hands Over 3 More Minors to ICRC, Making it 60 Since Peace Was Signed (S)
The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) released on Monday three teenagers, bringing to 60 the total number of minors they handed over to the authorities as part of the peace agreement, As reported by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
“The ICRC confirms that a new group of three adolescents has left one of the transitional demobilization zones (ZVTN) in western Colombia today,” the organization said in a statement. The minors were handed over to officials of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
“So far 60 children have been transferred by the ICRC to temporary places of refuge” since the signing of the peace agreement between the Government of Juan Manuel Santos and the guerrillas. Bolsamania
